If I would like to get a proposal from RealCom to provide services on my project, who should I talk to?

Once a project is awarded to RealCom, what is your process to insure a successful outcome?

Once the project is awarded, RealCom's project Manager will meet with all stakeholders and gather as much information as possible to fill in any blanks or holes in the scope of work. From that information, he/she will:

  1. Define expectations;
  2. Develop clear metrics to define success;
  3. Develop a detailed project plan and reporting method;
  4. Finalize the project team;
  5. Create a project plan of record using (including baseline schedules);
  6. Create a project budget;
  7. Hold kick-off meeting and training for all project team members;
  8. Assign work to all team members and subcontractors;
  9. Track and manage project milestone completion dates and costs vs. plan of record utilizing RPM (RealCom's proprietary Project Management System);
  10. Manage daily activities, utilizing RPM and look for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness;
  11. Provide regular reports and project updates to our customer point of contact;
  12. Maintain project records in the order necessary to provide a comprehensive project files as a final close-out package.

What techniques and technology does RealCom use to successfully manage its projects?

RealCom utilizes the latest technology and techniques to for wireless system development and deployment. They include but are not limited to the following:

  1. RPM (RealCom Project Management) system stores all site information, tracks all milestones and tasks, creates reports and budgets, and provides real time information regarding each project;
  2. Mapping software linked to Google Maps and Google earth with overlays of topography and associated vegetation and buildings provides or 3-D modeling as needed;
  3. Online database of property records and documents from a national title company provides instant and full access to all recorded title documents;
  4. Tower listing Databases provide a complete listing of all FCC licensed sites and microwave paths in the area along with 3-D mapping available;
  5. Our A&E Partners utilize the latest CAD systems and software;
  6. RealCom provides each employee with a laptop computer, cell phone and wireless access cards as needed to improve productivity and communication in the field;
  7. Each employee goes through our proprietary training programs for Site Acquisition, Zoning and Permitting, Construction Management and Project Management;

How does RealCom manage the quality of the work it does for it's clients?

RealCom has consistently provided its customers with the highest degree of quality service and deliverables in the industry. Its methodology for quality assurance includes but is not limited to the following:

  1. Define a detailed scope of work along with specific deliverables and clear expectations up front;
  2. Communicate those expectations to the team and monitor the deliverables compared to those expectations;
  3. Each deliverable is reviewed first by the project team member and then a second time by the project manager or an assigned quality control person;
  4. Our experienced Site Acquisition staff work closely with the client's legal department to ensure each document, such as leases and amendments, meet their expectations and if necessary, are reviewed by RealCom's expert lease reviewers, all of which are either lawyers or paralegals;
  5. Obtain approval by client at the time of delivery to ensure they are meeting expectations;
  6. If a deliverable does not meet the client's expectations, the following occurs:
    1. Project Manager gets feedback from the client to identify what specifically was wrong;
    2. Project Manager reviews the Scope of Work and Expectations which were identified up front;
    3. If the issue was not originally identified in the Scope of Work or Expectations, an update is made and communicated to the project team;
    4. If the issue was identified in the Scope or Work or Expectations and the team member did not properly follow the instructions, the Project Manager will review the problem with the team member as soon as possible to take corrective action;
    5. All work in progress will be reviewed to ensure the same mistake does not happen again;
    6. For those practices not included in the Scope of Work or Expectations, a detailed best practices log will be maintained for the project.

How active is RealCom in the wireless industry?

RealCom encourages participation in many industry associations. Rod Hanson, RealCom's managing member, Jeanette Evans, Business Development Director, and Jim Quigg, Project Manager, play a leadership role as board members of the Northwest Wireless Association. The Association was founded in 2007 with RealCom's board member representation to initiate a regional professional association that champions wireless issues at the national, state and local level in the areas of education, fundraising, networking, and lobbying. RealCom also actively participates in the national PCIA and CTIA conferences, Women's Wireless Leadership forum, and other regional Wireless Associations to enhance industry networking and better understand wireless trends.

RealCom began as a company providing wireless system development services to telecommunication providers. Explain the concept of "Seamless Partnership"

How does RealCom staff a project?

Each project is different and requires it's own unique staffing plan. For a typical project RealCom staffs with a project manager (Customer Point of Contact), a project coordinator, and site acquisition, permitting, and construction specialists as required to support the project volume. RealCom has significant in-house resources as well as a network of proven independent contractors to get our work done efficiently and effectively. In addition, our in-house recruiting and human resources team has an extensive database of available resources at their finger tips to round out the project team.

I am a client and I have a question about an invoice or other accounting-related matter. Who do I contact?

I am a Telecom Contractor and/or Service Provider and I am interested in doing business with RealCom. Who do I contact?

Independent Contractors, please visit our Careers page and submit your information via our online application process by clicking the 'Register' link, and specify 'Independent Contractor'. Human Resources will contact you if applicable work becomes available.

A&E Firms, Construction, Parts, and other vendors, please send your information to accounting@realcomassoc.com and it will be forwarded to the appropriate RealCom manager for consideration.

I am a RealCom vendor and I need to submit an invoice for payment. How do I do this?

Please email a PDF copy of the invoice to accounting@realcomassoc.com and be sure to CC the Project Manager who ordered the goods or services. In order to be processed, Vendor invoices MUST include: (a) A unique invoice number, (b) A valid RealCom-issued PO number, if applicable (c) Name of requestor or Project Manager, (d) A description of the service rendered. (e) Official RealCom Project Code (RealCom PM can provide this information). If you are unable to provide an invoice in electronic format, send your invoice via US mail to: RealCom Associates, LLC, attn: Accounts Payable, 14432 SE Eastgate Way, Suite 260, Bellevue WA 98007, or FAX to 425.274.4449, attn: Accounts Payable.

Do you offer ACH (electronic) payment for vendor invoices?

We currently only issue check payments to vendors, but are working on implementing ACH payments. We are planning to roll this out to selected vendors by Spring 2010.

I am an Architectural, Survey, Environmental, Title, General Contractor, or other wireless service vendor. How do I get on your preferred vendor list?

Email your contact information, company information, services you perform, geographic location you perform these services, and reasons why RealCom should use your services. Send this to vendorservices@realcomassoc.com. If you have a specific project in mind, please mention that in the body of the email along with an expected deadline. If you have an RFP you'd like us to partner with you on, please provide the due date so we can respond in a timely fashion.

RealCom evaluates its vendors based on quality, speed, reputation, ease to work with, geographic coverage, area of expertise, and price. Vendors whose perform at the highest levels based on this criteria will continue to be utilized by RealCom and referred to RealCom's clients. RealCom actively promotes its top vendors to its clients and protects its clients from vendors it does not believe meets RealCom's stringent standards.
